2010 January - July

Febr.14th 2010: Sven Kramer just won the first gold medal for the Netherlands. The Olympic oval in "Svencouver" and the fans in Holland, turned orange again! Sven inspired us to dig up another two "golden oldies". To give you an idea about how we learn to skate... It all starts at ditches, lakes, the frozen canals of Amsterdam or around the windmills of Kinderdijk. You may even

spot a familiar face on the ice. In our Golden Oldies section we have added two videos related to skating. Click on the pictures above to see them.

On Friday January 29th, 2010 the TROS television showed the episode of "Flikken Maastricht" (Cops of Maastricht) in which André plays a prominent guest role. In the picture above you see him with Eva van Dongen (Angela Schijf), one of the cops. During and after the Maastricht 2009 concerts, shots were made by the crew of the program on the Vrijthof and at André's castle.

A child disappears, a stolen car stopped and in a bag traces of explosives, a mad fan with dangerous plans, the whole police force of Maastricht on alert, a lady rushing onto the square and disappears in the crowd and is Bruno Gabriels, André's body guard (and Johan's nephew...) really that secure?  The bomb explodes and André is taking care of Eva van Dongen...

The quick addition of the subtitles was made possible with the invaluable help of John.
