Dress Rehearsal
After a severe rain shower at 8.30PM, it took some time to get the Dress Rehearsal of 9 PM fully organized. Orchestra members had some time and a few cloth pegs at hand, and what better way to start the evening… Click on Frank to the right to see the impression of the Dress Rehearsal.
The Concert
Click on the picture to the left to see a 45 minute impression of the concert. It is mainly the 2nd half of the concert. This years program is dedicated to 25 years André and the JSO. The first half of the program is what we all have seen in those 25 years… Enjoy!
Three brand new photo shows!
Ineke created three brand new photo shows (of course with Ruud's help!). We posted them under "Photo Shows (part 4)", in the left side menu bar.
1. Fan photo show of the Maastricht 2012 concerts, fan dinner, fan picnic and other fan events. We made it a tribute to Alli, a German fan, who suddenly passed away, hardly two weeks after she had attended the Maastricht concert and fan picnic. Our deepest condolences go to her family and her best friend Gisela, who was with her in Maastricht.
2. André's breathtaking laser light show, and other special effects, of the concerts 2012.
3. Day trip from Maastricht to Hoorn (cheese market and Red Rose Café), by about twenty André Rieu fans, on June 28, 2012. Click on the picture above to watch the slide shows.

Like every year, Jo Cortenraedt of L1 television interviews André before and after the (first) concert. Furthermore he speaks to fans from all over the world and to a few Dutch dignitaries, invited by Onno Hoes, the Mayor of Maastricht.
Because John is still travelling around Europe for another month, he is not available to do the corrections in our English, so please accept some spellings- or grammar mistakes.

Au Revoir Jann Trevaud.
We hereby pay a tribute to our dear Aussi friend Jann, who has just taught us a very important lesson in life, by giving four other people a second chance to a healthy life, through organ donation. This was her last generous gift. We love Jann and we’ll cherish the many happy memories we have with her, in Maastricht (2009) and in Melbourne (2008). We wish Rebecca, Isabella, friends and family a lot of strength in bearing in this tremendous loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Ruud and Ineke.

Fifth birthday of the Harmony Parlor.
Although still mourning over the loss of Jann, we’d like to join in celebrating the fifth birthday of the Harmony Parlor. On August 7, 2007, Sue took over the Parlor from Sonja’s great Translations website, since Sonja was unable to maintain the first American André Rieu fan website.
Four months later we started the Movies Site from Holland and since then we have been happily working together. John joined the team, supporting Sue.
Hey Guys, happy birthday, and thanks for your friendship and great cooperation.
Flowers for the Parlor: We thought of the Thunbergia alata. Dutch name: Suzanne met de mooie ogen (Suzanne with the beautiful eyes). This is for you, Sue!

André hired a personal trainer to get back in shape. Thanks to him, he lost quite some weight and is feeling much better again. This picture shows Ruud, André’s personal trainer, and his family.

Thirty concerts in Brazil in one venue in Sao Paulo, in June, July and September 2012. This has never happened before.

November 21st 2012: Two items this time. A busy evening for André on the Dutch TV. First an item in RTL Boulevard where André is seen with Jermaine Jackson and second: André plays for the third time in his life during a soccer match (home game of Ajax in the Amsterdam ArenA). Home for Christmas.
On Saturday November 24th 2012 a live satellite screening of the movie “Home for Christmas” took place in 175 cinemas across Europe.
Four Dutch Fan Friends rode the train to be present in the cinema in Heerlen for this event. André was there in person for a live Question and Answer session.
