Today André Rieu, André van Duin and Martijn Fischer (in his role as André Hazes), were rehearsing in André Rieu's studio at the Withuisveld in Maastricht for their performance on the 30th of April. The repertoire of "The Three André's" will include "Willempie", sang by André van Duin and "She Believes in Me", an André Hazes song.
On April 25 RTL Boulevard showed images of the rehearsals in the Rieu Studio in Maastricht.

Zipper mishap.

On May 5th 2013 André Rieu and the JSO performed in the Ballerup Super Arena, near Copenhagen, Denmark. Unfortunately Carmen had a zipper problem with her beautiful red dress. Watch André's reaction!

Together against childhood cancer.

On March 27th 2013 Dutch television aired a Live TV Charity Show in order to raise funds for the building of a new children's oncology hospital. Currently the only children's oncology centre in the world is the St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, in the USA. It was the dream of the Dutch oncologist Rob Pieters to have such a hospital built in the Netherlands. Many well known Dutch artists participated in this Live broadcast to persuade the viewers to buy bricks for the new Princess Maxima Hospital.

André Rieu already is an Ambassador of the Limburg Cancer Research Organization, and rehearsed in his studio in Maastricht with young violinists and saxophone players, for his contribution to the broadcast.

March 2013: Classic FM's Nick Bailey interviews André Rieu in his dressing room about some interesting projects, like the recording of the André Rieu and Friends album, and probably also an ABBA album. Notice the red couch in his dressing room and the photo of the twins on the make-up table. Click on the picture.

After Jermaine Jackson, Trini Lopez (75) is the second world star guest who arrived in Maastricht to rehearse with André Rieu for the "André Rieu & Friends" July concerts.

Watch the small video by RTL Boulevard. Reporter Albert Verlinde asks how it is possible that he knows everything from Maastricht? Well, Albert is friends with the Maastricht mayor Onno Hoes.

On Monday January 28th, 2013, Queen Beatrix of The Netherlands announced her abdication in favour of her son Willem-Alexander and his wife Maxima.

In the late night news program of the Limburg L1 television, André and the governor of the province of Limburg Theo Bovens, reflect back on their meeting(s) with the Queen.

On Thursday March 26, 2010, André Rieu and the JSO played for Queen Beatrix of The Netherlands as part of the celebrations for the 125th anniversary of the Valkenburg Tourist Information (VVV), which is the oldest in The Netherlands and possibly in Europe. Click on the picture to read more.

On December 31st 2012 Ruud, Ineke and Natascha travelled to Cologne for the New Year's concert. Cologne is in Germany just across the Dutch border. The train ride by high speed rail from our hometown of The Hague to Cologne was almost three hours. In our hotel we met Anna and Joe Brincat and also Father Joe, all from Malta, Martine and Jean-Louis Calvinhac from France, Linda and Richard Oswick from the UK, Elke and Nino Freitag from Germany. In 2006 André had already rehearsed with the Jostiband.

Under "Golden Oldies" we have put on a video from that year. A Dutch newspaper mentioned the date of the Jostiband performance in Maastricht: July 6th.
